TEAM UP: Teaching English Language Learners Action Model to Unite
Professionals
TEAM UP: Teaching English Language Learners Action Model to Unite
Professionals is an innovative approach to teacher development.
In order to address the academic progress of English language
learners, a small number of participating schools have selected
a team of six teachers (ESL and grade-level) and paraprofessionals
that are collaborating with other teams to address issues of curriculum,
instruction, and assessment of second language learners. At the
same time, each educator is engaging in his/her own professional
development through credit-bearing coursework and collaboration
that fosters work across roles and within schools.
