Academic Programs for Intercultural
Studies
Many universities have advanced degrees that focus specifically
on area studies, international relations, and languages. Fewer have
programs in intercultural communication or second languages and
cultures. Thus, students who want second language learning and culture
learning included in their degree curriculum often have to fashion
their own degree program. Below is a list of universities, colleges,
and institutions that offer degree programs related to language
and/or culture, or that have flexible programs available so students
can create their own program of studies.
