Virtual Assessment Center (VAC)
A web-based learning module provides teachers with background information, step-by-step guidance and lots of practical resources on developing second language assessments.

The Minnesota Language Proficiency Assessments (MLPA)
A battery of instruments designed to measure learners' proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and listening at two intermediate levels on the ACTFL scale in French, German, and Spanish.

Resources for Second Language Assessment Development
Teachers will find a wide range of background information and practical information on developing assessments for second languages. Includes links to annotated bibliographies, information about linking assessments to standards, lesson plans, task and rubric banks and more.

CARLA Summer Institutes for Language Teachers
Each summer CARLA offers a wide array of professional development opportunities for K-16 language teachers including an institute entitled “Developing Assessments for the Second Language Classroom.”

FL-Assessments – A Listserv on Foreign Language Assessments for Practioners
The purposes of this list are:

• to provide a forum for practitioners to discuss current issues in developing assessments
• to share information and resources among professionals in the field
• to encourage collaboration in the area of language assessments.
